Conference Meeting Update

On May 4, a Chapter meeting was conducted at Abe’s on Dirksen at 5:00 pm to give updates and go over progress towards the upcoming 80th annual conference to be held here in Springfield. Our chapter was honored to have IDOT Secretary Randy Blankenhorn in attendance to discuss our progress, as well as ideas on the potential IAHE Mentoring Program and the overall progress of the Vision Plan at IDOT. The Secretary was supportive of our ideas, as well as the upcoming conference and IAHE as a whole. We had an open and frank discussion with him on a variety of issues and look forward to his potential attendance at future Springfield Chapter meetings.
